Screet Privacy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026. This policy explains how Screet handles information in the iOS app and on this website.

Plain-language summary

  • Captured photos, videos, and audio stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
  • RevenueCat processes anonymous purchase and entitlement data so subscriptions work.
  • Standard Apple Ads attribution is used for campaign analytics without IDFA or cross-app tracking.
  • Screet does not require an account and does not sell personal information.

The iOS app

Information handled by Screet

Recordings and local app data

Photos, videos, and audio you capture with Screet are processed on your device. They are saved either to the app's protected local gallery or, when you choose, to the Apple Photos library. Screet does not upload captured media to a Screet-operated cloud service. App preferences are also stored locally on your device.

Purchases and subscriptions

Screet uses RevenueCat to load products, process and restore in-app purchases, validate receipts, manage entitlement status, prevent purchase fraud, and provide subscription analytics. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase, receipt, and entitlement information. Screet does not require an account and does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, contacts, recordings, or Photos library.

Apple Ads attribution

Screet uses Apple's standard AdServices attribution through RevenueCat to understand whether an install came from an Apple Ads campaign and to measure subscription performance by campaign, ad group, ad, or keyword when Apple makes that information available. This standard flow does not access the IDFA and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. Screet does not use this information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Device permissions

Camera, microphone, Photos, notifications, and optional Face ID access are requested only when needed for the feature you choose. Apple controls these permissions in iOS Settings. Screet does not receive your biometric data; it receives only the result of the device authentication request.

This website

Privacy-focused website analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. These services send anonymous or aggregated page-view, referrer, general device/browser, coarse geographic, and performance information to Vercel so we can understand traffic and improve site performance. We do not configure these tools to collect names, email addresses, or custom personal identifiers, and Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies.

How information is used

Purchase information is used for app functionality and analytics, including unlocking Pro features, restoring purchases, receipt validation, fraud prevention, and subscription performance reporting. Apple Ads attribution information is used only for aggregated advertising and subscription analytics. Screet does not sell personal information or display third-party advertising in the app.

Service providers

Apple processes App Store purchases and provides AdServices attribution. RevenueCat processes purchase, entitlement, and attribution information on Screet's behalf. Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

Retention and deletion

You control recordings stored in Screet's local gallery or Apple Photos and can delete them from the relevant location. Deleting Screet removes its local app data, while media saved to Photos remains until you delete it there. RevenueCat and Apple retain service data according to their applicable policies and legal obligations. To request help with data associated with Screet's services, contact us through the support page.

Children

Screet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Recording minors may be subject to additional legal and consent requirements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Screet's features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date shown on this page identifies the latest revision.

Privacy choices and contact

You can revoke app permissions in iOS Settings and manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account. For privacy questions or deletion assistance, contact us through Screet Support.
